The Purpose of This Blog

Its aim is to provide a clarified overview of four online collaboration tools based on five criteria with the objective of helping one choose an appropriate product.

Assignment Outline / About

Overview of Assignment:

This Collaborative assignment is meant to enhance knowledge of tools that are available to the public that make online learning and sharing easier. In this day and age, face to face meetings are not always possible. This assignment allowed an in-depth look into four tools of our choosing that would make long-distance collaboration easy and assessable. We chose Lucid Chart, Wiggio, Writeboard, and Twiddla, after completing some based research into each tool.

For each tool, we will assess the following;
  1. Reviews of the tool by others
  2. Five simple but important criteria used to judge the tools
  3. Recommendations and rationality

Why is this Important?

As future Librarians, it is important to be able to communicate effectively with others via distance. Our knowledge of such Collaboration tools not only effects our own professional development, but also effects those who we ultimately help serve in the Library system. This field is ever-changing and fast paced. The success of each Librarian rests in their ability to use such tools to continuously grow professionally, whether through organizations or other means.
